StoryBoard Evaluation - By Lauren

Prior to starting to film our title sequence, we decided it would be helpful to plan and organise our filming process. This gave us advanced knowledge of what to do; including what each scene should involve, shot types and positioning/movement of the characters. Charlie drew the Storyboard capturing all the key features like a check list of what should set the scene - describing dialogue, camera angle,  mood/tone, setting and lighting etc.

Filming Locations -By Cameron

South Norwood Lakes:

We chose South Norwood Lakes as the location to film one of the scenes of our production due to the fact it was close and convenient, as well as being a large open space. It also has a lot of foresty areas, which conforms to the conventions of a typical horror genre movie. Also coincidently and helpfully, it happened to be snowing at the time of filming the production, also conforming to more conventions of a horror movie genre.

Camerons House:

We decided to use my house for the main body of the filming due to the fact the environment was ideal for what we need to film. This is due to the fact that the props required including a sofa resembling that of a chaise longue is located inside the house, making it the perfect environment for a psychologists interview. Also the lightened atmosphere of the house almost adds as a noticeable contrast with what is being filmed. i.e the part filmed where Charlies character lays dead on the floor, adding a sense of uneasyness to the situation. Also the use of the natural lighting through the windows is useful as it almost conveys a sense of hope above the characters being filmed.
